Threads P.D.O.
What are P.D.O. threads?
Polydiaxone yarn (P.D.O.) is a 100% biocompatible and bioabsorbable material. They have been used for many years in surgery for suturing wounds. A thread lifting with polydioxanone (pdo) sutures is a cosmetic procedure where lax tissue is lifted and repositioned trying to create a more youthful looking facial contour. It is a skin and tissues relaxation treatment for face and body.
The specialist inserts a very fine needle which carries the thread into the area to be straighten. When the needle is removed, the thread remains in the skin at the predetermined position. With the appropriate number of threads required for each area, a grid is created resulting in the straightening of the specific area. Over time the threads will be absorbed and the body will produce new collagen around the area where the threads were placed.
